Kyungmee is a Lecturer at the University of Lancaster. Her current research program lies at the intersection of online education and learning analytics. Taking up a post-structural lens and socio-cultural learning theories, her research aims to provide comprehensive explanations of current online education and improve online students’ academic experience. She is particularly interested in the issues of access and power related to discourses, policies, theories, and practices of online higher education and the relationships between being and learning in online environments. Three different educational settings in my work include: 1) open university, 2) online doctoral program in traditional university, and 3) online teacher professional development. (Updated 09/2016).
